Co-op Match & Mixology

Our grab and go beverage aisle is a sea of refreshing possibilities. With so many flavors of kombucha, sparkling water, teas, and sodas, there is always something new and thirst quenching to try. Sipping on those beverages, the thought may cross your mind––What would make this drink even more special?

You guessed it. Alcohol, fancy glasses, and garnishes.

There is a simple formula to mix your own amazing cocktail at home with a few ingredients from the co-op (and your local liquor store).

2 parts alcohol + 1 part sour/tart + 1 part sweet

Extras: ice, bubbles & fresh garnishes

These ratios can always be edited to suit your personal tastes. Like it frilly? Add more bubbles and sweetness. Like it boozy? Tone down the sweet and grab a short glass (or keep it a tall glass––no judgment). If you like a flat drink; skip the bubbles and sweeten up your refreshment with a more concentrated option. Many of these ingredients can play two flavor roles in a drink, so get mixing and matching, and practice responsibly.
