Events & Promotions
At Lakewinds, we have a lot to celebrate! From locally grown, organic produce to clean skin care, we love bringing good food and products to our shelves — and to you. We have seasonal events throughout the year, plus sales events, like Wellness Wednesdays, which are held the second Wednesday of each month, and Senior Tuesdays each week.
Here are some of our upcoming events, so you can take advantage of in-store savings and join us in celebrating at the co-op!
March
March is FoodShare Month!
The Minnesota FoodShare March campaign brings together organizations, businesses, faith communities, and individuals to help keep more than 300 food shelves statewide stocked throughout the year.
Round up at the register in March or purchase food shelf donation cards in $5, $10, or $20 amounts to help support local food shelves in the communities we call home. Your donations at the Minnetonka store support ICA food shelf, at the Richfield store you support VEAP, and at the Chanhassen store you support PROP food shelf. Help us reach our goals and unlock up to $15,000 in Lakewinds match donations. See cashier for details. Visit our website to learn more about Lakewinds’ food access partnerships.
International Women’s Day
March 8
International Women’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of women in our co-op community. We’re inspired by the women we work and interact with at the co-op. From the meat counter to store management, from farmers and makers to our amazing customers, we appreciate your hard work, tenacity, and support every day. Thank you to women and those who support women — because we know we’re stronger together.
Wellness Wednesday
March 13
Enjoy 15% off all body care products and supplements in our wellness department. Lakewinds owners can choose to use their once monthly 5% discount in conjunction with Wellness Wednesday. Just let the cashier know at checkout.
Lakewinds Organic Field Fund 2024 Results
The Lakewinds Organic Field Fund (LOFF) provides financial support for local farmers to help them achieve specific goals and complete projects on their farm. This year, over $100,000 was awarded to local farms to help with things like making infrastructure improvements on newly purchased farmland, constructing greenhouses and pack sheds, purchasing equipment to improve efficiency, and more.
See the full list of 2024 LOFF recipients and learn about their planned projects beginning in mid-March.
