Events & Promotions
At Lakewinds, we have a lot to celebrate! From locally grown, organic produce to clean skin care, we love bringing good food and products to our shelves — and to you. We have seasonal events throughout the year, plus sales events, like Wellness Wednesdays, which are held the second Wednesday of each month, and Senior Tuesdays each week.
Here are some of our upcoming events, so you can take advantage of in-store savings and join us in celebrating at the co-op!

Labor Day Store Hours
September 1
Happy Labor Day from the co-op! Our stores will be open from 8 am to 6 pm on Monday, Sept. 1. We’ll reopen at 8 am for normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Board Election
September 1 – 13
Don’t forget to vote in the annual board election in early September! This year, we have four open board positions.
Voting begins at 8 am on Monday, Sept. 1 online and in stores. Vote for your four favorite candidates in stores or online until Saturday, Sept. 13 at 8 pm or until 1:10 pm at the Annual Owner Meeting on Sunday, Sept. 14. Election results will be announced during the business meeting portion of our meeting and in stores the following week.

Souper Thursdays
September 4, 11, 18, 25
On Thursdays, refrigerated deli quarts of soup are buy one, get one half off. (Sorry, but hot and frozen soups are not included in this deal.)
While most grocers get premade soup, the Lakewinds deli team chops veggies, simmers broth, and makes soup on site at the co-op. They use the same ingredients found elsewhere in the store, so you know it’s fresh, delicious, and made with high-quality veggies, broth, and protein!
Excludes hot bar soup and frozen soup. Valid for in-store shopping at all Lakewinds locations, while supplies last.
Wellness Wednesday
September 10
Enjoy 15% off all body care products and supplements in our wellness department on the second Wednesday of each month. Lakewinds owners can use their 5% monthly discount along with the Wellness Wednesday discount for even bigger savings! Sale is in stores only, while supplies last.
Annual Owner Meeting
September 14
All Lakewinds owners and their households are welcome for a celebration of 50 years of co-op and community at beautiful Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. Lunch provided by Gastrotruck and Baba’s Hummus food trucks with reserved lunch ticket. There is no ticket required to attend the business meeting or participate in farm activities.

Patronage Refund Mailer
Late September
Ready to find out your patronage amount for this year? Keep an eye on your mailbox for details coming your way in late September. It will include a breakdown of our fiscal year stats as well as your dividend total. Dividends will be available in stores at the register starting October 1.
Lakewinds’ 50th Anniversary
2025
This year marks 50 years of bringing the farm to you! Celebrate this milestone with us in ways big and small through the year, including new surprises in stores, classic recipes shared from the Lakewinds deli “vault,” and glimpses into our history with “throwback Thursday” social posts. Every Tuesday, Lakewinds shoppers age 62 and older receive 5% off their in-store purchase. (Sorry, but milk, eggs, and Breadsmith products are not included.) Let your cashier know that you’re eligible for the discount.
On the second Wednesday of each month, all body care & supplements are 15% off.
