Herbed Pull-Apart Rolls

Herbed Pull-Apart Rolls

Crusty bread and melty cheese are always a welcome pairing! Guests at your next holiday party or game night will love them. They also make an excellent side for your favorite soup. Like soup, they're easy to reheat so make a batch for the week ahead.

Ingredients

  • 6 Breadsmith dinner rolls (can substitute pretzel buns if desired)
  • ¾ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup minced herbs (we recommend chives, basil & dill)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 oz. fontina cheese, shredded

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix cream cheese, herbs and garlic powder. Cut an X into the top of each roll, making sure not to cut all the way through. There should be about ½ inch of bread at the bottom to hold the roll together.

Gently open each roll and spread 3 Tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture inside the X. Top each roll with 2 Tablespoons of shredded fontina and pat down.

Bake 10-12 minutes until fontina is golden brown.
