Meet some of the co-op’s local farmer partners and have some fun at the farm!

Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 10 am – 2 pm

Visit local sustainable farms, learn about farming practices, and hear about their contributions to the local food system with this family-friendly day at the farm. Participating farms are past Lakewinds Organic Field Fund grant recipients, farms who drop off their CSA shares for pickup at our stores, and farms who have products on our shelves. It’s a free, self-guided event, so no need to sign up.

Head out to these participating farms for a free fun and learning!

Ames Farm

Delano, MN 55328

Ames Farm is an award-winning local honey farm that produces raw, single-source honey, creamed honey, honeycomb, pure beeswax candles, and beeswax wraps. With a focus on pollinator health and land stewardship, this local farm is also set up as a pollinator sanctuary. Honey is harvested meticulously in order to retain the unique and delicate flavors imparted by the plants bees forage for nectar. Each jar is a floral snapshot of a specific time and place in Minnesota. Taste what makes single-source honey so special during the tour!
