Fall Feast FAQs

When and how do I order my turkey or ham?
Turkeys and hams can be preordered from Nov. 1 through Nov. 18, online only. Please note that organic Larry Schultz turkeys and Ferndale turkey breasts arrive frozen and will need adequate time to thaw. For example, a frozen turkey may need three days in the refrigerator to thaw. Whole Ferndale turkeys are air chilled and may have some surface frosting. This will typically thaw overnight. Please keep this in mind as you plan your feast!
What if I can’t find a menu item I ordered last year?
Each year, we make adjustments to our offerings based on things like product availability, staff capacity, and the previous year’s sales. Some items that leave the pre-order menu may still be available in the deli case or grab ‘n go shelf, even if they’re not being offered as a pre-order item. To see if an item that’s not on the pre-order menu is still being offered for in-store purchase, please call or ask a deli team member. Thank you for your understanding!
How much turkey should I order?
If you’re ordering a whole, bone-in turkey, it’s recommended that you buy 1 pound of turkey per person.
How do I thaw and roast my turkey?
See helpful information about thawing, brining, and roasting turkeys here.
How much food should I order?
In general, order:
- 1 lb per person of turkey or ham that you’re preparing yourself.
- ¼ lb per person of each side, including gravy.
- ½ lb per person for other feast entrees.
Adjust per your guests’ appetites and whether you want leftovers!

Can I make substitutions within my heat-and-serve sides?

How much food do I get with the heat-and-serve sides package?
The heat-and-serve sides package includes: 2 pounds of mashed potatoes, 2 pounds of stuffing, 1 pound of maple glazed carrots, 1 pound of cranberry relish, 1 pound of gravy, and 1 pumpkin pie.

What if I want to buy a meal?
The deli offers a “Classic Turkey Dinner” that includes roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, and maple glazed carrots for two people for $24.99.
Can I order meal items a la carte?
Yes, you can order your preferred feast items, including mashed potatoes, stuffing, maple glazed carrots, cranberry relish, gravies, and more.
Do you have gluten-free deli sides?
Many of our deli sides are made without gluten, but are prepared in a shared kitchen, so there is the possibility of cross contamination. If you or your guest is celiac or has strict gluten-free requirements, please look for prepackaged gluten-free certified products in the grocery department. The deli sides that are made without gluten ingredients include: harvest salad, mashed potatoes, stuffing (made without gluten), maple glazed carrots, green bean amandine, cranberry relish, and gravy.
Do you have vegan deli sides?
Yes, our vegan mashed potatoes, stuffing made without gluten, maple glazed carrots, green bean amandine, cranberry relish, and mushroom gravy are all vegan.
When can I pick up my orders?
- Turkeys and hams can be picked up Nov. 20 to Nov. 25. If you’ve ordered a Larry Schultz organic turkey, please note that it arrives frozen and will need extra time (perhaps 3 days in the fridge, depending on its size) to thaw.
- Deli sides and meals can be picked up Nov. 23 to Nov. 25.
- Our stores are closed on Nov. 26, so please pick up orders before Nov. 25 at 4 pm, so you have plenty of time!
Can I order these items on Instacart?
No, we’re sorry, but turkeys, hams, and deli meals must be preordered, so they are not available via Instacart. A few of the classic deli sides might be available on Instacart, while supplies last.
Can I preorder pie?
Yes, you can order apple and pumpkin pies from the deli Nov. 1 to Nov. 20. However, gluten-free pies are found in the frozen aisle and are first-come, first-served.
Thanks so much for supporting the co-op, and Happy Feasting!
